THE ROLE
You will play a key role in supporting our marketing team across a variety of campaigns and initiatives. This position is ideal for someone who is organised, creative, and passionate about gaining experience in a fast paced scale-up business environment.

You will contribute to the development and execution of marketing strategies, content creation, social media management, and event coordination, helping to elevate the brand’s presence across multiple channels. A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field is preferred, along with some experience in an office environment.

The list below covers the variety of tasks you'll be assisting with, co-owning and supporting: 

+ Support Marketing Campaigns: Assist in planning, executing, and tracking marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
+ Social Media Management: Help manage and grow social media channels by scheduling posts, monitoring engagement and content creation.
+ Content Scheduling, Management and Monitoring: Ensure content is accurately scheduled and monitored across social platforms and the website Journal.
+ Update Media Platforms: Regularly update media platforms to maintain brand consistency and relevance.
+ Maintain Internal Files: Organise internal files for easy access to important marketing materials.
+ Minute Taking and Action Lists: Take minutes during meetings and distribute action lists to ensure task completion.
+ Marketing Materials: Help prepare marketing materials, reports, and presentations.
+ Market Research and Analysis: Conduct research, gather insights, and analyse data to inform strategies.
+ Cross-Departmental Coordination: Coordinate with departments and external agencies for smooth marketing execution.
+ Event Support: Assist with brand events, including product launches and community engagements.
+ Photoshoots: Assist in planning and running photoshoots aligning with brand guidelines. Coordinate product photography sessions for marketing use.
+ Track Marketing Metrics: Monitor and report key marketing metrics to measure performance against KPIs.

WHO YOU ARE
To thrive as a Marketing Assistant at Ancient + Brave, you need to embody the spirit of our brand and align with our company culture. You possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Your creative mindset allows you to generate new ideas and approaches, while your highly organised nature ensures attention to detail. You excel both independently and as part of a team.

Passionate about health, wellness, and sustainable living, you bring a proactive and positive attitude to everything you do. You have a strong willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment, and you’re highly self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative and see tasks through to completion. Solution-focused and equipped with a ‘can-do’ attitude, you’re known for your energy, positive outlook, and growth mindset.

You are a collaborative team player who also excels in independent settings and are an exceptional communicator who can convey information clearly and concisely. Entrepreneurial and commercially minded, you are comfortable working in fast-paced startup environments, where ambiguity is common. Your ability to effectively prioritise will be key to your success. Above all, you are passionate about making a positive impact and contributing to the future we’re building, and passionate about doing greater good and the future we’re building - we expect our team to be supporting our B-Corp and ESG goals while being proactive and mindful in suggesting ideas for the business to improve its practices

An important note on our ways of working…
As a fast-paced scale-up, we’ve found that spending time together in person is hugely beneficial to the way we’re needing to communicate, collaborate and drive the business forward. We’ve worked hard to make our office (a beautiful old mill situated in East Sussex) an inviting and friendly environment for all of our team members and we expect any new joiner to be in the office full time.
