THE ROLE
Ancient + Brave is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Marketplace Specialist to support in optimizing and managing our Amazon marketplace presence across key regions, including the UK, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, the U.S., and beyond. In this role, you will act as a vital support to ensure smooth day-to-day marketplace operations, collaborating with external agencies, cross-functional teams, and internal departments to deliver an exceptional marketplace experience.
You will play a critical role in ensuring that our product listings, advertising campaigns, and overall marketplace performance align with Amazon’s best practices and drive growth. This is an excellent opportunity for an e-commerce professional eager to specialize in marketplace optimisation while contributing to a fast-growing wellness brand.
Reporting to the Head of Online Marketplaces you will be responsible for the following:
Marketplace Operations Support
+ Collaborate closely with the Head of Marketplace to maintain and optimise Amazon accounts across multiple regions, ensuring product listings are accurate, compliant, and tailored to local markets.
+ Act as a liaison between internal teams (marketing, operations, customer service) and external agencies to facilitate smooth marketplace operations.
+ Monitor performance data and provide actionable insights to improve sales and customer experience.
Content Optimization & Agency Collaboration
+ Partner with agencies to manage and optimise content, ensuring all content meets Amazon guidelines and brand standards.
+ Support agencies with the creation and maintenance of high-quality product pages, including optimised keywords, images, and descriptions to maximise visibility and conversions.
+ Assist in seasonal content updates and marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with overall brand strategies.
Advertising & Marketing Support
+ Work with agencies to optimize Amazon PPC campaigns, ensuring alignment with growth objectives and KPI’s
+ Review keyword research with Amazon agency, competitor analyses to refine SEO strategies and improve product discoverability.
+ Track the performance of promotional activities and provide recommendations to enhance results.
Global Expansion Assistance
+ Assist in meeting compliance requirements for expansion into new regions, ensuring packaging, logistics, and fulfilment processes align with local regulations.
+ Provide administrative support for market research and implementation of new marketplace initiatives.
Inventory & Forecasting Coordination
+ Support inventory planning and forecasting to ensure stock levels are maintained and aligned with promotional activities.
+ Analyse sales trends and assist in preparing inventory reports for internal stakeholders.
Customer Feedback & Product Improvement
+ Collaborate with Customer Service to monitor feedback and identify trends that inform product enhancements and customer satisfaction initiatives.
+ Analyse returns data to provide insights for product development and quality improvement.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
+ Regularly update the Head of Marketplace and other stakeholders with reports on key metrics, marketplace performance, and actionable recommendations.
WHO YOU ARE
To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills / knowledge / experience:
+ Experience supporting or managing Amazon or other Ecommerce marketplace operations.
+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
+ Solid understanding of Amazon advertising (PPC) and SEO principles.
+ Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a collaborative and proactive mindset.
+ Experience in the wellness or consumer goods sector is a plus.
+ Familiarity with e-commerce best practices, including SEO, advertising, and product page optimization.
+ Strong ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and external partners effectively.
+ Passionate about leveraging data to improve marketplace performance.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; with experience with project management tools.

Our Interview Process and What You Can Expect:
+ Application Review: We’ll start by reviewing your CV/application to ensure it’s a good fit for the role.
+ Initial Phone Call (circa 15-20 minutes): You’ll have a brief introductory chat with Ellie, our Talent Partner. We’ll discuss your experience, your career aspirations and explore how your values align with ours.
+ Video Interview (circa 30 minutes): The next step is a virtual interview with the hiring manager, via Google Meet. This will be an introductory conversation featuring experience-based and competency-based questions. It’s also a great time to ask any initial questions you have!
+ Interview Task: You’ll receive a task via email which you can prepare at home. This will form part of the discussion for the in-person interview. This will allow us to get a better understanding of your experience, skills and ways of working.
+ In-Person Interview (60-90 minutes): The final stage is an in-person interview at our Uckfield office. You’ll meet with the hiring manager and one other team member and present your interview task and answer competency questions. This is also your opportunity to ask us any remaining questions.
