THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Brand Manager to support Ancient + Brave’s ambitious growth trajectory. In this role, you’ll help deliver best-in-class brand development, bold marketing communications and NPD (new product development) launches that expand our loyal customer base.
This is a pivotal role that touches every part of our marketing mix, from executing market activations to launching innovation, and owning all brand collateral. You’ll be an integral part of the team, working collaboratively and cross-functionally at all levels and with all departments (Brand, Design, ECommerce, Partnerships, Events, Nutrition & Innovation, Retail) as well as external agencies and partners.
The role reports to the Brand Lead and will be responsible for managing the Marketing Assistant. If you are a creative and strategic marketer with an entrepreneurial spirit, we want to hear from you.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Brand Guardianship
+ Ensure consistency in brand messaging, visual identity, and brand voice across all channels and marketing materials - ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
+ Support the Brand Lead in planning, coordinating and overseeing the fulfilment and delivery of the content plan (with a focus on weekly emails and website content) ensuring it aligns to wider content strategy and business objectives.
+ Oversee and co-ordinate the creation of brand assets including shoot coordination.
Brand Strategy Support
+ Support in executing brand strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives.
+ Constantly reflect on the brand's positioning, value proposition, and target audience (learning and refining where needed).
+ Be the ‘voice of the consumer’ in the process, ensuring we design solutions to meet their needs.
+ Engage with and manage consumer data available - to learn more about their needs and wants, test assumptions and support the Brand Lead in turning it into insights to help shape brand activity.
+ Support in conducting market research (when needed) to identify consumer trends, competitive landscapes, and opportunities for brand differentiation.
Marketing and Advertising
+ Execute and implement marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and drive customer acquisition.
+ Manage advertising initiatives across various channels, including digital, print, and CRM (customer relationship management) as well as ATL (above the line) e.g. OOH (out of home).
+ Manage the production and delivery of assets for paid advertising e.g. social / digital / press etc and contribute to planning and delivery of shoot productions.
+ Evaluate campaign performance and build out the brand reporting function, setting clear objectives and KPIs and sharing insights for continuous improvement.
+ Support in-market teams outside of the UK with the delivery of activations on the ground, ensuring everything is executed to brand standard.
Project & Team Management
+ Manage multiple projects seamlessly and have a meticulous attention to detail.
+ Provide daily support to our Marketing Assistant, managing their personal growth and development in the short, mid and long term.
+ Support the Brand Lead in managing and nurturing external agency partnerships.
+ Work closely with the wider Marketing and Commercial teams to ensure seamless, end-to-end integration across all channels.
+ Work seamlessly with other departments ensuring all information for best in class content creation/brand collateral is obtained and relationships are consistently nurtured.
+ Be a trusted partner to the Retail team - from clarifying needs, and developing asset briefs through to managing delivery.
+ Be a trusted partner to the Social Media and Community Manager supporting asset creation / delivery where needed.
Budget Management
+ Support in managing the brand's marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximum return on investment.
+ Track project expenses supporting Brand Lead in successfully working to the agreed budget(s).
WHO YOU ARE
To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills / knowledge / experience:
+ Proven experience in brand marketing, ideally with D2C (direct to consumer) brand(s) but open to agency side brand building experience.
+ Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering multichannel campaigns.
+ Creative thinker with experience in developing and executing bold marketing communications.
+ Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate cross functionally.
+ Passion for consumer insights and data-driven decision-making.
+ Have a number of commercially successful and highly regarded creative campaigns and NPD launches under your belt.
+ A good understanding of key brand metrics and an ability to interpret data and ask the right questions.
+ Experience managing/co-ordinating shoot production and/or experience within the wellness category is a plus.
