THE ROLE

As Senior Graphic Designer, you will bring Ancient + Brave’s brand vision to life through visually captivating and impactful design. You’ll be responsible for developing diverse digital and print assets, ensuring that all visuals are engaging, cohesive, and align with our brand’s values. Collaborating closely with brand, marketing, digital and retail teams, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and growing brand recognition across all consumer touchpoints.

This role reports directly to the Head of Design working closely with the Marketing Team and cross-functionally with other departments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Create visually captivating graphics, infographics, and animations that bring the brand story to life across all touchpoints. Create content that communicates our values in a way that resonates with audiences and strengthens emotional connection to the brand

+ Design compelling point-of-sale (POS) and retail display materials that drive engagement, and maximize product visibility in-store. Collaborate with retail partners to tailor assets for different retail environments, ensuring consistency across formats while adapting designs to retailer-specific guidelines

+ Develop creative assets for Amazon including A+ Content, storefront design, product imagery, and brand pages. Ensure all designs are optimised for the Amazon platform while maintaining consistency with overall brand identity and premium positioning

+ Collaborate with our digital team and Amazon partners to test, refine, and evolve assets in line with performance insights

+ Design high-impact paid advertising assets including static and animated ads, banners, and social-first creative. Balance our strong brand aesthetic with performance-driven design principles to maximise click-through and conversion

+ Support in packaging design for new and existing products, ensuring brand alignment and impactful shelf presence

+ Collaborate closely with the Marketing Team to produce engaging social media content, print and digital assets, and campaign visuals that connect with our audience.

+ Create and update brand collateral, including Look Books, Press Kits, and Retail Sell-in documents, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines.

+ Act as a brand guardian, supporting all departments in maintaining brand consistency across all touchpoints.

WHO YOU ARE

+ A highly creative and detail-oriented graphic designer with a strong eye for aesthetics and storytelling

+ Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro) and Figma

+ Experience with video editing and animation is essential

+ Strong understanding of technical requirements for both print and digital production

+ Experience of using Notion or similar project management workspaces

+ Collaborative and communicative, working closely with Marketing and Digital teams to ensure all creative output aligns with brand strategy and messaging

+ Capable of managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines

Our Interview Process and What You Can Expect:

+ Application Review: We’ll start by reviewing your CV/application to ensure it’s a good fit for the role.

+ Initial Phone Call (circa 15-20 minutes): You’ll have a brief introductory chat with Luke, our Talent Partner. We’ll discuss your experience, your career aspirations and explore how your values align with ours.

+ Video Interview (circa 30 minutes): The next step is a virtual interview with the hiring manager, via Google Meet. This will be an introductory conversation featuring experience-based and competency-based questions. It’s also a great time to ask any initial questions you have!

+ Interview Task: You’ll receive a task via email which you can prepare at home. This will form part of the discussion for the in-person interview. This will allow us to get a better understanding of your experience, skills and ways of working.

+ In-Person Interview (60-90 minutes): The final stage is an in-person interview at our Lewes office. You’ll meet with the hiring manager and one other team member and present your interview task and answer competency questions. This is also your opportunity to ask us any remaining questions.

+ This role requires full time working at our stunning Lewes offices. Please apply only if you’re within a reasonable commute. There will be an option to work from home one day per week after successful completion of your probationary period.

We’ve worked hard to make our new HQ (a beautiful riverside office situated in Lewes, East Sussex) an inviting and friendly environment for all of our team members and we expect any new joiner to be in the office full time.
