While most of our roles are advertised as full-time, we are happy to discuss part-time setup where appropriate.
We operate from beautiful head offices overlooking the river Ouse in Lewes, East Sussex.

THE ROLE
As Head of UK Marketing, you will be responsible for taking the Ancient + Brave brand to market in the UK, translating our brand strategy into market level impact. This is a commercially minded, omnichannel role that sits at the intersection of brand and performance, ensuring every consumer touchpoint works together to effectively and efficiently deliver market objectives.
Reporting into the UK Marketing Director, you will lead a small marketing team and work closely with the central Brand Team to ensure marketing campaigns are deployed with precision and relevance in the UK. You will champion the UK market's needs, brief into the brand and production teams, and own the local marketing plan end-to-end, from media and PR to partnerships, events, talent and retail.
This role demands both strategic clarity and hands-on execution, with a strong commercial sensibility and a genuine passion for the brand.
This role reports directly to the UK Marketing Director and will be a key member of the marketing leadership team, collaborating cross-functionally at all levels and with all departments, as well as with external agencies and strategic partners.
Campaign Planning & Execution
Own the UK marketing plan: creating seamless, multi-touchpoint plans across campaign assets, talent, partnerships, PR and events.
Lead local campaign planning (media, PR and activations), ensuring alignment with the global brand campaign calendar. As well as working with central , talent, partnerships and events teams to coordinate the delivery of programmes at market level.
Communicate UK market needs clearly into the central Brand Team, briefing asset and creative requirements for local execution.
Manage campaign timelines and execution locally, ensuring all activity delivers on time and on brief.
Provide post-campaign insights back to the central team to feed into future planning and iteration.
Omnichannel & Ecosystem Management
Take a strategic view of the UK marketing ecosystem, owning how all channels work together to deliver market objectives.
Ensure every campaign is deployed across all relevant touchpoints, and different activation types, briefing creative, production, event, talent and partnerships teams clearly on what is needed for market success.
Oversee UK marketing effectiveness, leading MMM and market-level performance analysis, and feeding learnings back across specialist teams.
Represent market needs within the global content plan, contributing seasonal, cultural, and market-specific input to global planning sessions.
Content, Briefing & Brand in Market
Lead development of market-specific briefs for social, email, journal, retail and campaigns, reviewing and briefing adaptations to global content for UK relevance.
Ensure brand messaging resonates locally while remaining consistent with global guidelines, identifying incremental opportunities in market.
Participate in global content planning sessions (monthly cadence), advocating for UK priorities and contributing to global calendar development.
Lead content localisation across BAU channels, ensuring global assets land effectively in the UK market.
Paid Media & Performance
Implement paid social campaigns using global frameworks, working closely with the performance team to execute, optimise and report.
Provide UK competitor insights, market trends and performance learnings back to the central Brand Team for iteration of global creative strategy.
Support the central brand team on implementation of paid social and UGC campaigns in market where required. .
Budget, Media & Partnerships
Own the UK market‑level media budget for all non‑CAC campaigns and objectives, demonstrating excellence in planning, allocating and delivering media spend with accuracy and commercial discipline.
Develop and manage media plans and oversee PR in market, including relationships with media owners and creative media opportunities alongside the partnership team. .
Work cross‑functionally with talent, partnerships and events teams to identify which campaigns should incorporate events, partnerships or additional media spend.
Manage relationships with local agencies, freelancers and external partners, ensuring efficient use of resources.
NPD, Retail & Amazon
Develop UK marketing plans for new product launches — ensuring NPD reaches the right audience and drives sales across all relevant channels.
Work with retail and Amazon teams to identify UK-specific in-market requirements, briefing into the central Brand Team for asset creation.
Provide input on copy, transcreation and market nuances for retail briefs, ensuring UK execution aligns with retailer requirements.
Ensure global retail assets are reviewed for UK relevance, including centralised Amazon briefs.
Website & Email
Identify UK website content needs and updates, briefing into the Brand Team for asset creation and supporting implementation with the e-commerce team.
Review global email templates and suggest UK-specific adaptations, briefing additional emails for local campaigns and seasonal moments.
Ensure UK CRM strategy is aligned with the broader marketing plan and content calendar.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Act as the primary voice of the UK market across all internal teams and planning processes.
Actively participate in the marketing leadership team, contributing to strategic planning and high-level decision-making.
Stay informed on health and wellness trends, cultural shifts and competitor activity to ensure marketing activity remains relevant and effective.
Support the company's B Corp and ESG goals, being proactive in suggesting ways to improve practices.
WHO YOU ARE
To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills / knowledge / experience:
Proven experience in a senior marketing or advertising role, ideally within a consumer brand environment; wellness, food & drink or lifestyle preferred.
Strong understanding of omnichannel marketing and the interplay between brand, performance, content and retail channels.
Experience building and delivering market‑level marketing plans, including media planning, PR and local campaign execution.
Commercially minded with a track record of driving measurable results across multiple marketing channels.
Exceptional capability in planning, managing and delivering media budgets — confident allocating spend, forecasting, tracking performance and ensuring investment is used effectively and responsibly.
Confident briefing creative teams and agencies, with a strong eye for brand alignment and quality.
Experience working with paid social, including Meta — ideally with an understanding of both strategy and execution.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
Experience managing budgets and agency/partner relationships effectively.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — comfortable influencing cross‑functionally and upwards.
Demonstrable experience in partnership marketing, influencer or talent management, and event or experiential activity.
