THE ROLE
This is an exciting new position for a passionate Operations professional that will see the successful candidate lead and further develop our existing supply chain and logistics functions.
Reporting to (and supported by) our Head of Operations you will be an integral part in the team, working collaboratively and cross-functionally at all levels and with all departments as well as external agencies and partners.
You will be responsible for providing an integrative approach to product demand, stock, production control and planning aspects of our Supply chain, working in unison with Sales, Purchasing, Production and Warehouse and ensuring there are no bottlenecks or shortages preventing the business from meeting our production forecast or the delivery of finished goods.
YOU WILL
+ Implement and manage a new EU 3PL and forge manufacturer relationships, meeting high service standards and managing all 3PL partners
+ Ensure stock is picked and packed OTIF to be shipped out to four EU Amazon fulfilment sites and EU 3PL.
+ Employ best practice for movement of product inbound and outbound, setting up and maintaining schedules for all shipments and ensure all export documents adhere to regulatory requirements
+ Facilitate business relationships with clients and product suppliers, lead on negotiating costs for shipping products from suppliers, maintaining an approved supplier list and carrying out regular audits.
+ Assist with forecasting and monitoring inventory levels using ERP systems, optimising and maintaining the inventory based on demand and supply chain activities and managing and maintaining an accurate inventory of product storage warehouses to maximise stock turns and cashflow.
+ Support the Production Team with the coordination of raw materials, in-process materials and purchased parts to support production/delivery requirements in order to meet customer demand.
+ Lead and support purchasing through an embedded S&OP; creating plans, schedules and work instructions to enable production to meet customer demand.
+ Manage KPI’s, status reports, presenting to the Senior team as needed.
+ Support, when necessary, with additional site related continuous improvement processes that may be outside your span of influence.
YOUR SKILLS + EXPERIENCE
Due to the nature of the role and location of our office + warehouse, you will need to be a driver with your own vehicle. You should be happy working onsite 5 days a week and will additionally need:
+ Experience preparing export documents within food or animal origin products
+Experience using an ERP system to forecast stock
+ Understanding of 3PLs/suppliers/manufacturers management (ideally internationally)
+ Experience working for a fast moving SME or a Start-up
+ A background in all aspects of the supply chain.
